Every Sustainable Saunas cabin is handcrafted at our workshop in Truro, which means if you're commissioning in Cornwall, your build travels the shortest distance of anywhere we deliver. Shorter lead times, easier site visits, and a team who can be at your door the same afternoon if something needs a closer look.

Cornwall's relationship with cold water and open air runs deep: sea swimming, coastal walking, granite and gorse in every direction. A sauna fits that life naturally: somewhere to warm through after a swim at Gyllyngvase or Porthtowan, or just to sit with the door open and watch the weather come in off the Atlantic.
Because the workshop is local, Cornwall commissions typically see the shortest lead times we offer, and a site appraisal can usually be arranged within days rather than weeks. Delivery is by flatbed with a hiab crane or, for tighter access, as a flatpack built on site.

Standard lead times are 4–6 weeks from a completed desktop survey; bespoke commissions run 6–8 weeks. Being local to the Truro workshop doesn't shorten the build time, but it does mean site appraisals and any follow-up visits happen faster.
Most garden saunas fall under permitted development, but this depends on your property, its curtilage, and whether you're in a conservation area or near a listed building, all common in Cornwall. Our site appraisal reviews this specifically for your address; for a definitive answer, check with Cornwall Council's planning department.
